Join us this Christmas as we welcome back our popular Christmas Cracker - an evening jam packed with festive laughs from the very best in local Comedy talent. Your host for the evening Sean Hegarty welcomes three Comedians to join him on stage for an evening full of festive cheer!… ‘tis the season to be jolly’ after all!



Tim McGarry

Tim McGarry is a versatile talent whose journey from lawyer to comedian has made him a beloved figure in the world of entertainment. Best known for his role as Da in the hit BBCNI sitcom Give My Head Peace, Tim has not only co-written the show but has also captivated audiences with his sharp wit and engaging performances.

As the host of the acclaimed comedy panel show The Blame Game, Tim brings a unique blend of humor and insight to topical discussions, earning accolades for his quick thinking and comedic timing. He is also a key contributor to A Perforated Ulster, a sketch show on Radio Ulster that tackles current issues with a humorous twist.

Tim's experience extends beyond scripted comedy; he is a seasoned stand-up performer, solo act, presenter, and after-dinner speaker. His ability to connect with audiences has made him a sought-after figure in various venues.

In addition to his comedic endeavors, Tim served as the executive producer for Pop Goes Northern Ireland, an important archival program that examines the complexities of the Troubles in Northern Ireland. He also co-hosts the award-winning Radio Ulster history show The Long and the Short of It alongside Orangeman Dr. David Hume, where they delve into the often-controversial aspects of Irish history.

With a wealth of experience across television, radio, and stage, Tim McGarry continues to entertain and educate audiences with his unique perspective and humor.

Sean Hegarty is famed for his highly popular comedy, which saw him become a semi-finalist on Ireland’s Got Talent. Having performed across the globe in locations such as Cyprus, Belgium, Norway and France, Sean has amassed an impressive 60 million views of his comedy and claimed the title of Ireland’s Funniest Joke 2017. With previous performance credits including the Edinburgh Fringe, Vodaphone Comedy Festival and Altogether Now Festival, Sean is highly popular for a range of comedy club performances, as well as being booked as a comedian to perform at corporate events and sports dinners.

With his comedy sketches amassing 100 million views, Sean has a cult following in the comedy circuit that has seen him perform at venues such as the Bray Comedy Festival and the Dalriada Family Festival. A versatile comedian perfect for a range of demographics, Sean was a runner up in the 2014 UK Pun Championships and has acted as tour support for Patrick Kielty.

Ian Thompson

Ian Thomson is a Belfast-based comedian known for his sharp wit and engaging storytelling. His comedy style blends observational humour with a unique Northern Irish perspective, often delving into everyday absurdities and social commentary. 

He has gained recognition  for his engaging stage presence and clever punchlines, performing at some of the biggest comedy clubs across the UK & Ireland.

In recent years Ian has supported both Shane Todd & Micky Bartlett, as well as selling out his own solo shows at Belfast's Sunflower Bar and The Limelight. In June 2024 Ian finished 3rd in London's Not So New comedian of The Year competition.

A regular guest on many popular comedy podcasts, Ian has established himself as a force on the NI comedy scene.
