Comedy Fundraiser

Join us this July as we team up with Newcastle FC to present a Comedy Fundraiser like no other. To raise some much needed funds for Newcastle’s Grassroots Youth teams we will be hosting an evening jam packed with belly laughs from the very best in local Comedy talent. Your host for the evening, Diana Doherty welcomes not one, not two, but three Comedians to join her on stage for an evening full of laughter!

Micky Bartlett

Irishman Andrew Ryan is one of the most in demand acts, and MC at the biggest comedy clubs across the UK & Ireland. The Corkman’s quintessentially Irish storytelling abilities and cheeky, friendly demeanour make him a natural stand up.

Andrew is also one of the Breakfast Presenters on Q radio from 6am to 10am Monday to Friday.

He has appeared on many TV shows in the UK & Ireland. He has performed  on BBC3’s Russell Howard’s Good News, Best of the Edinburgh Festival Live on BBC3, The Blame Game on BBC 1, Live at The Comedy Store for Comedy Central, Live for MIND on Comedy Central, He has hosted two series of ‘Secrets of the Comedy Circuit’ over the last two years on ITVX & UTV. He has also appeared on Comedy Central live on numerous occasions performing stand up. The Six O Clock show & Ireland AM on TV3.

William Thompson

William Thompson (BBC New Comedy Awards Finalist 2021, as seen on Dave & Channel 4) is a stand-up comedian and rising star from Belfast. As a shy, unassuming Northern Irish lad, William has always felt barely noticeable, that’s until he appeared on TV in front of thousands of viewers, leading to some barely accurate comments in the press about his disability.

From his political musings to anecdotes about how his Cerebral Palsy has affected his life, William’s quick-witted, hard-hitting act has seen him perform in some of the biggest venues in Northern Ireland, such as the SSE Arena and the Waterfront Hall.

Emma Doran

Emma Doran is an Irish stand-up comedian, podcaster, and sketch comedian from Dublin. She came to public attention with sketches on RTÉ's Republic of Telly and was a main cast member in the No Worries if Not! series. In January 2024, she was one of 10 comedians in Amazon Prime Video's LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland.
