HALLOWEEN STREET PARTY & FIREWORKS
After 3 long years, the Halloween fireworks return to Newcastle with a whole host of events leading up to the grand finale at 8pm. Join us on Central Promenade (see map on rear) for a wealth of live performances with street theatre, live music, spooky poetry readings, dance performances and walk about characters.
Take a walk along the south promenade from 2pm to catch Ursula the Witch and her magic harp, NCC’s Deckchair Cinema, with spooky kids short films or try and spot our interactive Halloween cos-players or fire breathers and jugglers on the beach, with face-painters, carnival rides and a host of delicious food-trucks.
If you’re dressing up, be sure to register for the ‘Fancy Dress Competition’ for both children and adults at The Mariner Bar & Resturant..... Prizes to be won!
Street Theatre
Try and spot our interactive Halloween cosplayers or fire breathers and jugglers on the beach, with facepainters, carnival rides and a host of delicious foodtrucks.
Promenade Stage - Live Music & Community Performance
Don’t forget to catch local musicians Discobeard and The Anchor Ukes as well as performances from Newcastle Comhaltas plus spooky poetry from the Mourne Stars Drama group on the promenade stage before the grand finale Fireworks at 8pm.
Deckchair Cinema
Grab a hot chocolate, a blanket and pull up a deck chair! Sit back and enjoy NCC’s Deckchair Cinema featuring a reel of Halloween shorts for all the family to enjoy! Plus a sneak preview of the forthcoming attractions at this years Full Moon Film Festival!
