King On Screen
A fascinating deep-dive into the world of those brave directors, screenwriters & actors who have taken on big screen adaptations of Stephen King's infamous horror novels, and in doing so, have given us some of the most iconic scary movies ever to grace our cinemas. Documentarist Daphne Bauwir curates an incre dible collection of interviews and discussions with those who have undertaken King's works, and presents us with an awe-inspiring study of the main man himself; King, currently the world's most adapted author still alive today. Following Brian de Palma's unforgettable adaptation of Carrie in 1976, we are presented with a selection of stories from the nearly 80 small & big screen conversions - some big hitters, some less so - which makes for an incredibly enjoyable and nostalgic delve into King's screen ouevre.
