100th anniversary

Silent Movie Day is an annual celebration of silent movies, an art form that is often under-appreciated and overlooked. 

To celebrate this day, we will be showing Sherlock Jr (1924) on its 100th anniversary, accompanied by a live score performed by the talented local musicians, Brídín Wells and Manus O’Boyle.

Frequently voted favourite silent film of all time, Sherlock Jr. sees Buster Keaton star as a young, unlucky-in-love cinema projectionist who longs to be a detective.
