We are beyond delighted to finally be screening Ciara Nic Chormaic’s 2022 Irish language documentary, focusing on the works, life & mystery of poet & essayist Doireann Ni Ghriofa.

Captured through intimate performances of her own work and in-depth interviews, the film reveals Ní Ghríofa’s creative impulses and journeys with her to the heart of her inspiration, her home place in County Clare. From her debut “A Ghost in the Throat”, released in 2020, she has been lauded both here and in the US - this documentary allows a reflective look, covering memories, motherhood, & the ethereal mystery of writing itself.
